For many students, school is fun, but weekends are when the excitement really happens. In QMS Residence, these times are for students to connect with each other through recreation.
Students take part in planned boarder activities such as dances, ski trips, cul-tural dinners, and holiday-themed events. In addition, the QMS Activity Club offers boarders an opportunity to create new friendships and explore the beautiful Cowichan Valley and surrounding areas. Every weekend, Residence students are encouraged to join planned chaperoned events that can range from cultural (ballet, theatre, sight-seeing, and shopping) to active (hiking, ice skating, rock climbing, swimming) experiences. Students also get the chance to join craft-making sessions with local artisans to create keepsakes such as jewelry, cards, and even dream-catchers with our local First Nations community.
For students living at QMS, organized residence activities, including the Activity Club, provide an extraordinary opportunity to create even more memories of their time at the school.

“Queen Margaret’s School gave me a chance to meet people from all over the world and experience so many different cultures, from their food to fashion to music. It also allowed me to make strong friendships that I’m sure will last after I graduate.”
